2. MEDICAL
(a) General

Saiyid Tariq tin Tairaur, President of the Municipal Council did his
best tc maintain a high standard of cleanliness in Muscat and LJuttr»h, but
Muttrah still remains a problem, The health Department purchased considerable
quantities of Pyretherum and D.D.T, f.or its anti malaria schemes. The

pyretherun ras used to a considerable extent, tut the Department is still
experimenting vdth the D.D.T. to discover how it can be used to the best

advantage,
(b) Agency Hospital
The hospital remained open throughout the year. The attendance figures
