        Personally I have used two nurses in my work for some time. I began                     t
      •ork in 1914 and had a very efficient Indian trained nurse from Ludhiana,

      'he Inis hccu a willing, faithful, efficient helper and this is her twelfth
      jar of service. I have had three other trained nurses, one who came

      fiu our Mission with the wrong motive. She thought her sister in Bas-                     i

      r*h wus very near Muscat and could be near her. When she found how                    \               5
      !ir it was, she became discontented with her salary and surroundings and
                                                                                                !
      twined in India after nine months service. The other was with me three                i
      ^ars when her relatives had her married. The third, Nurse Margaret      >                 1
      aiiow in her third year of service.

        I believe that the most outstanding factor that has helped these   nurses               i
      uremain at their post of duty is the Bible study that they have had. Every
      Simlay afternoon we meet for Bible study and the lesson that was assigned             I
      •u heavy enough to keep them busy all week. Then, when we met we

      ried to make it the most interesting time together. Sometimes there have                  i
                                                                                           • ■«
      U*n heart searchings and confessions. God's Word is so refreshing and                     ;
      -spiring. As they understood more of His riches of grace, they were
      .craigthened “to press on to the mark" of God’s purpose for them in
     : Arabia. Every evening we meet in prayer over our own medical work, as              « ■!  "i
      & for all countries around the world. I use the Student Volunteer                  . -  • .

      Movement prayer cycle which covers all the countries of the world in  one ’
      punth. When I read of the news of the Gospel work in those lands from
      -c Sunday School Times and Missionary Review or the World I share it

      „ih the nurses to enlighten them for more intelligent prayer. The nurses
      iciusdves have told me how much our Sunday afternoons have helped                    I
     aciu. I have seen them try to practice in the routine duties what they have
      unied in their Bible lessons.

      utnbered her with Christmas greetings and invited her to visir her when
      or liad her holiday in India. She even wrote her while she was home on                 i
      dough so that these have been strong factors helping her to remain
      jihful at her work in Muscat.
