Personally I have used two nurses in my work for some time. I began t
•ork in 1914 and had a very efficient Indian trained nurse from Ludhiana,
jodia. She was with me two years and would have returned with me had
i not been for her father. He was of the close communion Plymouth
Brethren and refused to have his daughter among us any longer. Then !

jar of service. I have had three other trained nurses, one who came

twined in India after nine months service. The other was with me three i
^ars when her relatives had her married. The third, Nurse Margaret > 1

I believe that the most outstanding factor that has helped these nurses i
uremain at their post of duty is the Bible study that they have had. Every
Simlay afternoon we meet for Bible study and the lesson that was assigned I
•u heavy enough to keep them busy all week. Then, when we met we
i
ried to make it the most interesting time together. Sometimes there have i

U*n heart searchings and confessions. God's Word is so refreshing and ;
-spiring. As they understood more of His riches of grace, they were
.craigthened “to press on to the mark" of God’s purpose for them in
: Arabia. Every evening we meet in prayer over our own medical work, as « ■! "i

Movement prayer cycle which covers all the countries of the world in one ’
punth. When I read of the news of the Gospel work in those lands from
-c Sunday School Times and Missionary Review or the World I share it
i
„ih the nurses to enlighten them for more intelligent prayer. The nurses
iciusdves have told me how much our Sunday afternoons have helped I
aciu. I have seen them try to practice in the routine duties what they have
unied in their Bible lessons.

or liad her holiday in India. She even wrote her while she was home on i
dough so that these have been strong factors helping her to remain
jihful at her work in Muscat.
