Translation of the Preliminary Treaty with Husson bin Rahmah,
Chief of Hatt and Faleia.
In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate!
Know all men, that Husson bin Rahmah has been in the presence of
General Sir William Grant Keir, and there have passed between
them the following stipulations :—
Article I.
The town of Ras-ool-Khyma and Maharra, and the towers which are
in the date groves near the town, shall remain in the hands of the British
Government.
Article II.
If any of the vessels of Husson bin Rahmah are in Shargah, or
Amulgavine, or Ejman, or any of the other places to which the General
shall go with the force, they shall be surrendered to the General, and the
General will leave those which are for the pearl fishery, and fishing-
boats.
Article III.
Husson bin Rahmah shall give up all the Indian prisoners, if any
such are in his possession.
Article IV.
