claim to protect Bahrhna io sincere, should be not the ex
pedience in any particular instmee, but the right that the
individual has to it. It is clear from the conversation
I mentioned in paragraph 4 that the authorities at ^atif are
expecting that v/e shall support genuine Bahama, and v/ith
your approval I propose to continue doing so, confining
such protection, however, to particular instances, and only
then after careful scrutiny of thexx credentials of the clai
mants.
