Sir,
I havo tho honour to roport for tho information of tho
Hon*bio tho politioal Resident that on the Aight of Wodnooday
13th Octobor at about 8 p.m. whilo Shaikh Tlamad was driving
in hio Hudson car to visit hie wife at Bqda four shots wero
fired at him. This outrago ocourrod in tho neighbourhood of
Sanabie at a place whoro a email bridge epane an irrigation
ohannol crooning the road.
Shaikh Hamad informs mo that tho first shot was fired at thir
raoraont whon the oar had reached tho bridge. Ono bullot threw
up the dUBt in front of the car and the front mud guard was

hit by tho ricochet.
Abdulla bin Jahar immediately accelerated and shot off
tho bridgo at a spood of 50 miles per hour.
Throo other shots were fired, two of which apparontly
wont between tho Hudson' and tho car containing servants which
was following immediately behind* Tho fourth shot apparently
wont wido. Shaikh Hamad himsolf wao carrying a sword and a
daggor but tho rost of his party woro unarmed oxccpt for tho
customary daggor.
Shaikh Humad informs me that thcro is no doubt that his
life was intonded and that it wao not a oaoo of robbers holding

up any passing motor oar, as hie Hudson io woll known, it wao
