                                                    The  missionaries who have been  some
                            i                    years on the field could toll you better than
                                           IM     I  can witli how much comfort tlioy have
                                                 been able to carry on the medical work this
                            summcT. as cumparcd with other summers, owing to our luiviii/
                            such a splendid building to work in. There is certainly a great
                            clilYcrcncc bct\vec*n our large airy hospital and the little room on
                            the first iloor of the mission-house, which served as dispensary
                            formerly.
                                 \\*c have not had many women iu-patients yet, as they arc
                            very lotli to leave their homes, even for better surroundings. I'ut
                            we  feel that we arc gradually winning their confidence, and we
                            liope the day is not far distant when they will be as glad to stay
                            in tlic comfortable, attractive women's ward, as they arc now to
                            come  to tlie daily dispensing.
                                 From about thirty to fifty gather in the chapel every morning
                            for the service which Mrs. Zwemer holds witli them before at­
                            tending to their physical wants. The chapels (there is ono on the
                            men's side, too) arc very pleasant rooms, with appropriate texts
                            written artistically on the walls in black, rod and gold. There  arc
                            scats, but in the women's chapel they usually have tow occupants,
                            as  the women prefer to sit on the floor.
                                After the service is over, they come into the dispensary  one
