AND THE MASKAT POLITICAL AGENCY FOR TIIE YEAR 1907-1003, 93
CHAPTER YIN.
ADMINISTRATION REPORT OP THE TRUCIAL COAST OF OMAN
FOR THE YEAR 1907-1908.
The past yoar lias boon a most unoventful odo among the Truoial Chiefs.
The arrangement effeoted between the Sheikhs of Abu Thabi and TJmm-
el-Kawain recorded in last year's report has so far not been broken, and pcaco
has reigned throughout the hinterland.
8heikh Zaeed-bin-Khalifa of Abu Thabi continues to bo very difficult to
deal with, and shows a tondency to neglect the claims of British Indians
residing in his part; always dragging out his standing grievances (the Taona
case, etc.) when he is remonstrated with. The Sheikh of Dobai has also
given a little trouble in regard to the treatment of British subjects, but baa
eventually accepted the viows of the Resident in regard to incidents referred
for orders, and accorded reasonable justice.
The conduct of the other Sheikhs has been satisfactory, and except for
the Abu Musa case, which has been dealt with elsewhere, their territories
furnish no material for special record.
