100 Day Report
An opportunity to have a life well lived, akin to the lives of Archon Cummings, Archon Lewis and Justice Ginsburg.
Are we willing to take a stand? Are we willing to bring about change in the conditions that kindle our nation’s legitimate discontent? Are we willing to work to turn out the vote in record numbers? Are we willing to make sure our families, present and extended, vote during this pandemic? Are we willing to work tirelessly to ensure there is an invigorating season of freedom, justice and equality on the horizon?
I believe Sigma Pi Phi is ready to take a stand. We have created a Voter Awareness Task Force that is being led by Archon John Kuykendall (Alpha Eta Boulé) and is partnering with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Together,
STANDING
they will provide various ways for Archons to help ensure everyone votes and that every vote is protected. The committee is also encouraging member boulés to support the new John Lewis HBCU Election Protection Campaign.
Implicit in our biennial theme, Vision, Leader- ship, and Action During Changing Times, is an acknowledgement that we, as Archons, willingly accept the torch passed to us. As we work toward a more just union, perhaps along the way, we too may become notorious.
