Execution
  Defend  yourself  by  kicking  with  the  opposite  leg  to  your
  opponent’s pivot leg. Deliver the side kick swiftly and lean
  back with your upper body. Your opponent loses balance
  and  the  attack  stops.  Your  opponent  is  now  in  an
  unfavorable  position,  and  you  can  continue  with  more
  attacking techniques. Be mindful of using good timing and
  your balance in this counter.

  A–D:  The  opponent  attacks  with  a  round  kick.  Saiyok
  recognizes  the  impending  technique  at  an  early  stage  and
  defends with a swift side kick to his opponent’s pivot leg.
