  The ART of Remote/Virtual Communication
The world of phone- and web-based communication can feel awkward. It's different than communicating in person. We need to recalibrate our communication to work effectively in virtual environments.
In remote/virtual communication, we don't have the same visual cues that we have in person. This means we must rely more on our voice to share our message. Fully sharing our voices helps build connection and trust even when we are not in the same space.
Ultimately, our goal in communication is to connect with people–maybe even more in remote/virtual communication. The tools and techniques outlined here will help you to show up more fully and connect in all your remote/virtual communication.
We're going to start with roles and some things to consider as the leader/facilitator and as a participant. Then we'll move into ways you can be more effective online no matter what role you are in.
Our successful communication and executive presence–even in the virtual world–is fueled by trust and authenticity.
