Show Up as Your Best:
Be a Good Remote/Virtual Participant
Remote/virtual communication is awkward. Consider how you can help to make the awkward more comfortable. Remember we want to create connection and communication goes two ways.
Use Common Sense: Think about how you show up. Dress appropriately. Let yourself be seen and heard. Try not to create more distractions.
Limit Apologies: Limit (or eliminate) apologies for un- muting, or late entrance or bumping off. These take up time and are oddly annoying to others on the call.
Use Chat: Use chat to engage with the presentation. Ask questions. If you leave, or leave and come back, make a note of it in chat.
