DUTIES From October 2011 to the present, I have been the Deputy Director for Development Services
with the San Joaquin County Public Works Department, where I am responsible for overseeing
the Flood Management, Water Resources, Community Infrastructure Engineering, Surveyor, and
Development Services divisions (30.5 FIE, $6 million operating budget). These divisions provide
services related to floodplain management, regional water supply planning, Sacramento - San
Joaquin Delta advocacy, stormwater quality program administration, County special district
administration (over 100 districts, $26 million annual budget), development application review,
improvement plan I map checking, encroachment and transportation permitting, and County
Surveyor's office functions. I have also been responsible for the Channel Maintenance (32 FTE,
$4.3 million operating budget) and Utilities Maintenance (24 FTE, $3.7 million operating budget)
divisions for interim periods.
