When activating online, the web browser where you can register your
MAGIX Movie Edit Pro first (if you have not already done so) will open. You will
then be forwarded to a website where you can request the corresponding
activation to be carried out.
2. Enter the requested information and complete the order.
Normally you will receive the activation code within a few minutes. In some cases,
this can take longer.
Note: In the event the activation code does not arrive after a longer period of time,
check to make sure the e-mail was not accidentally sent to your spam folder.
3. Copy the activation code from the e-mail.
4. Enter the activation code into the input field in the activation dialog.
5. Click on "Activate...".
The codec will be activated and the feature is now available in MAGIX Movie Edit
Pro.
MPEG-2 encoder settings (Standard)
In the "Advanced Settings" you can make detailed adjustments to the MPEG-2 data
flow.
The advanced settings are divided into "Video", "Audio", and "Multiplexer".

Bit Rate Mode: The bit rate indicates how much data is saved in the video per second
(at playback speed). This makes the bit rate the deciding parameter with regard to the
file size and quality of the video to be encoded. A higher bit rate means better quality,
but also a larger file size.
• Constant: The exact value entered in "Average bit rate" is applied which enables

• Variable: The value entered in "Average bit rate" is used as an approximate
guideline for the value applied to the video. This means that the size of the video
can only be estimated.
• Constant quantization parameter: This parameter ensures that the video quality
remains the same throughout.
