122 Object Handling

When you have created a link to an object you can quickly change its behavior by just
clicking on the object. A pop-up will appear with the link's details and options to Change
or Remove the link.

Conflicts in page layouts

When too many objects on the page are trying to affect each other's positions or sizes in
too many ways an error message is displayed which says...

"THE REQUESTED CHANGE IN PAGE LAYOUT IS TOO COMPLEX TO PROCESS. PLEASE SIMPLIFY
THE PAGE AND TRY AGAIN"

To fix this, it is necessary to reduce the interactions between objects on the page. This
means doing things like:

• Grouping (on page 98) or Soft-grouping things that should move together
• Removing push where it's not needed especially on objects that are also stretching or
have "Footer" or "Auto" (on page 120) page positions
• Setting page position to "Fixed" or "Footer"
• Removing stretching markup
• Removing repelling (on page 250)
