■ The Position
Reporting to the the Labor and and Employee Relations Manager the the Senior Compensation and and Classification Analyst position will perform a a a a a a variety of of professional level Human Resources (HR) related duties in the areas of Compensation and and Classification including wage and and salary administration job analysis
classification review and and and revision salary surveys complex research and and and analysis
and and and other related duties as as assigned Additionally this position:
1 Administers and and maintains the City’s compensation program: develops and and conducts market salary surveys for both individual positions positions and and groups of positions positions collects researches and and analyzes market and statistical data assists in in in determining competitive position of City salary range structure develops recommendations for structure adjustments to maintain internal and external equity works closely with consultants conducts and completes salary surveys advises on on on pay practices turnover and and retention issues provides cost analysis
for salary adjustments creates reviews and and recommends salary placements for new hires promotions and transfers researches issues related to to compensation to to provide information for for resolution in in consideration of contract provisions historical practices similar situations etc 2 Administers and maintains the City’s class specifications including ensuring proper position designations review of FLSA status conducting job analysis
to identify the essential duties and the required knowledge skills
and abilities necessary for for successful job performance drafting reviewing revising and interpreting class specifications using best practices ensuring essential functions accurately reflect current roles and all other associated duties 3 Performs a a a a a a a a a a a a wide variety of classification and and compensation-related informational and and statistical reports reports presents reports reports maintains records develops and documents internal procedures is the subject matter expert for HR and and City leadership regarding classification and and compensation 4 May supervise direct evaluate discipline and/or reward human resources staff stays abreast of new trends and and innovations in in in in the human resources field maintains awareness of federal state and and local regulations and impact of changes on on on the City may work on on on or or or lead special projects or or or participate as a a a member of other teams
