THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a a a a a a a a a proven leader with experience in in in governmental accounting/auditing and and in-depth knowledge of governmental generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and related complex accounting requirements The successful candidate will have excellent communication
skills and and the demonstrated ability to to effectively lead develop and and mentor a a a a a a a team with diverse skill skill levels/experience Key attributes also include the the ability to work collaboratively with other county departments the the Board of of Supervisors special districts the the County Superintendent of of Schools and other stakeholders The most qualified candidates will have experience in comprehensive annual report report (CAFR) preparation and debt reporting along with the management of staff responsible for property tax payroll and accounting activities Qualifying Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with major course work in in in in accounting business administration or or or or a a a a a a a related field from an an accredited college or university AND four years of of advanced journey-level professional accounting and/or auditing experience including at at least two years demonstrating management responsibility and and supervision of of professional and/or technical staff Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of of a a a a a valid California driver’s license within 30 days of of hire is required Certified Certified Public Accountant GFOA Finance Officer Certification and/or Certified Certified Government Financial Manager are desirable certifications
