To safely and and responsibly collect and and treat wastewater and to recover resources from process waste streams while protecting human health and improving the environment in a a a a a way that benefits the Tri-Cities and all USD stakeholders The District employs 137 staff and and is is is organized into five workgroups which include Treatment and and Disposal Services Services Services Collection Services Services Services Fabrication Maintenance and and Construction Technical Services Services Services and and Business Services USD is is a a a a a a a a a a team-based organization and its teams embody the District’s commitment to collaboration Professional technical and field operations employees are organized into teams led by a a a a a a a a a a “Coach ” or or front-line manager Team members have have input into key decisions that affect their daily work lives and often have have decision- making authority over these issues e e e e e e e e e e e g g g equipment purchases training budgets and work schedules All of USD’s teams strive to to to to provide excellent customer customer service to to to to both internal and external customers Employees at at all levels participate on
task forces and committees to address District-wide issues resulting in in increased cooperation among different disciplines and greater appreciation for each other’s expertise
