studying at an early age.

free your mind from ig•no•rance's cage. Someday, then, you
might become a Senate page, later an actress on stage.
But in whatever you choose to engage, do not measure
success by your salary or wage. Let happiness be the much
better gauge.

Jake's Wake
To keep busy Bob fed the duck and drake, George raked the lawn, and
Sarah baked a cake.
Their hard work had helped to keep their minds off Jake, but good humor
they could no longer fake. You see, Jake was bitten by a poi•son•ous snake.
And now his friends have broken down in a tearful quake at the dead boy’s
wake.
