They Couldn't Endure
The wealthy Af•ri•can Moor and his pretty par•a•mour
decided to take a tour.
He assured his finicky paramour that their route would be straight and not
have a hilly contour. However, they soon came upon a detour which took
them through a moor on a road extremely poor.
At this they U-turned, she saying, "Please - let us quit this detour, I
simply cannot endure !"
Story 353
VAMOOSE
Big Chicken and his little papoose went a hunting for a goose . . . in the marshes
. . . within a forest of spruce. But instead of finding a goose, they came upon an
angry bull moose !
Big Chicken waved the white flag of truce, but red saw the charging moose.
Luck, however, was theirs – for somehow they managed to break loose . . . and
quickly – VAMOOSE !
