                                    3 | Page February 2 8 I ssueKansas Severe Weather Preparedness Week - March 3-7, 2025Kansas experiences a wide variety of summertime severe weather, including: tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail, and flash flooding. Residents are encouraged to use this week to review their severe weather safety plans. Practice what you would do as if the event was REAL.Kansas Statewide Tornado Drill %ud83c%udf2a%ud83c%udf2aThe National Weather Service Offices across Kansas will conduct a Tornado Drill at 10 am CT on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the drill by practicing seeking secure, safe shelter from a tornado. This test will be broadcast over NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio and some local television and radio stations. Local officials may also sound theirwarning sirens.
