This leadership role is responsible for overseeing maintenance/operations of county roads, managing landfill and maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations.Key Responsibilities:%u2022 Supervise road maintenance crews/landfill staff%u2022 Plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance/construction of county roads%u2022 Ensure safe, efficient operation of the landfill facility%u2022 Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and reporting%u2022 Manage budgets, equipment, and materials for road/landfill operations%u2022 Conduct inspections and respond to public service requests or complaints%u2022 Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and government agenciesQualifications:%u2022 High school diploma or equivalent; advanced training or technical certifications in public works, construction, or environmental services preferred%u2022 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in road maintenance, landfill operations, or similar field%u2022 Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills%u2022 Valid driver%u2019s license; CDL (Commercial Driver%u2019s License) requiredNess County offers excellent benefits %u2013 Medical & Dental Insurance, KPERS Retirement, Life Insurance, paid vacation, and sick leave.
