This position works with all County departments, reports directly to the County Administrator, and oversees the Business Manager.Essential Functions:%u2022 Directs the financial functions of the organization; maintains financial performance%u2022 Assists with the development of the annual County budget and assists outside agencies with annualbudget preparation; includes budget forecast of revenues and expenditures. Develops departmentaloperating budget and organizes duties into a yearly process.%u2022 Maintains financial performance and ensures compliance with statutes, policies, objectives, andstandards. Includes monitoring revenue and expenditures, grant programs, bank accounts, andinvestments of idle funds; reconciling of payroll; reconciling of the utility billing system; the compilingand submitting of tax state and federal tax refunds; and the issuing, tracking, and payment of allcounty debt.%u2022 Performs construction project accounting and reporting.
