1. Why you think safety first?
These days, workplace health and safety procedures are important for the well-being of employees,
employers and worker, because human loss is immeasurable and intolerable. As, such loss or injuries can
employ major loss to the families. Workplace safety is very important for each and every employee in the
industry because all the workers desire to work in a safe and protected atmosphere. As executive to believe
that having no accidents is the first & top priority.
2. What all are the important factors for a safe operation/ Safe Site?
The most important factor in workplace safety are Communication is perhaps the most
important element of workplace safety, Start with safety training , Minimise and manage risk , Safe work
method assessment, Environmental conditions, Provide personal protective (PPS) equipment, Dropped
objects
3. How are the important system by MPW to ensure safety in the site?
MPW with outstanding safety records develop a systematic method to measure what’s going on throughout
their entire safety operation. It enables them to quickly and easily understand why something went wrong if
it ever does. Effective and regular communication about safety and health, Formalized safety policies,
Support for behaviour-based safety.
4. How you feel when you rewarded as the HSE champion?
The main role as HSE Champion, is to assist management in the implementation of the cultural change
programme. Their key role is to ensure there is effective communication between Management and the
Operating Teams, and to build trust and encourage involvement from everyone and aware safety standard
of MPW-I to everyone.
5. How to prevent injuries?
ü Employers should educate employees on all workplace safety standards and the hazards that they may
face while on the job.
ü Workers need to review the health and safety policies for each job they are called to do. The written safety
policy should include procedure and the name and location of a trained first aid responder.
ü Use equipment/machinery/vehicles in the manner prescribed.
ü Maintain the equipment and tools.
ü Workers should always wear the recommended safety equipment for their jobs. This may be a hard hat,
high-visibility clothing, goggles, gloves, steel-toed shoes, or a protective suit.
ü At some workplaces these meetings should be held daily, for example, if high-risk work is being done.
Employees should be reminded to stay focused and relevant issues should be addressed. Real-life
factual and job specific safety information tends to be more motivating for workers.
ü Be careful with vehicles-Many fatal accidents on work sites involve vehicles. Defensive driving, parking
and backing should be practiced.
