Administration

The Administration team is responsible for support functions at the Co-op, including data analytics, program management,
information technology, process improvement, communications, membership services, accounting, finance, auditing,
compliance, legal, and human resources. The team also manages third-party vendors who provide additional services in
                    these areas.

Our refreshed 5-year technology roadmap journey began with the development and rollout of new role-driven dashboards
that leverage our underlying data to speed decision making and realize process efficiencies. The Microsoft Teams
collaboration platform was also implemented, and together these two tools form the foundation of our technology future.
A new bid optimization tool was also put into service that improves our analysis capabilities in determining lowest cost
scenarios for complex RFP projects. Our team can now turn our attention to external facing solutions that weren’t possible
without this first step in the roadmap.

As our dependence on data grows, so does the need for managing the quality of that data. We took our data management
program to a new level in conjunction with a member of our team achieving the Certified Data Management Professional
designation. We continue to expand the policies, practices, and procedures that proactively manage the data lifecycle
needs of CSCS and its Members, with a primary objective being overall data quality measured by accuracy and timeliness.

Our information technology team successfully migrated all of our technology assets into a cloud environment managed by
CSCS. This completes a two-year effort to separate the CSCS network from Dine Brands for security and compliance, but
also modernizes our infrastructure. A network security audit and penetration test were subsequently conducted, with a
small number of recommended improvements implemented as a result.

The Administration team streamlined the sourcing fee program in 2019, maintained several distributor programs to ensure
balanced pricing was realized across all Members, received clean audit opinions for the eleventh year in a row, tackled
hundreds of information technology requests, conducted our sixth annual employee engagement survey, conducted our
eighth annual Member Maniac week, maintained 99.6% membership in the Pancake Co-op, and the list goes on. In
addition to the team’s daily responsibilities, we are looking forward to 2020 and the opportunities to continuously improve
our processes and programs resulting in increased value for our Members.
