 “An NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) is

a leader. Some people are in a leadership

position because they LEAD BY

EXAMPLE.”

First Sergeant Torres went on to say, “If you want

this leadership position because of the money,

people will HATE you! If you want a leadership

position because of the authority the position gives,

people will HATE you. If you want this leadership

position because you want to influence people to

reach their greatness by demonstrating how you are

reaching your own greatness, people will LOVE

you!”

This short conversation changed my life about

leadership. Leading by example, is the most effective

way to change our world.
