The Kingdom of God is the government of God.
Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us
a Son is given; And the GOVERNMENT will be
upon His shoulder. And His name will be
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting
Father, Prince of Peace.”
I’m bringing this up because I used to say that the
Kingdom of God is God’s way of doing things, which
is half right, but if we don’t see the Kingdom of God
as an ACTUAL GOVERNMENT, we will miss the
life of abundance. Jesus didn’t bring us a religion.
He brought a government.
Why do we look to government to solve our
problems? Without government, our lives will be in
chaos. Every four years, we elect a new president to
see if they have the answers to our nation’s
problems. Here lies the problem: we are seeking the
wrong government to solve our problems. Do you
know the number one topic in every presidential
debate? You guessed it right! THE ECONOMY.
Now the question is why?
