‘Divine Truth and Light Prevails’. - Alter Realism

The Olive Grove - Palatine, Rome.

This composition alludes to eternal justice through the universal presence of the Divine Consciousness in all
                              created form.
The three appearances are taken from the allegorical figures painted by Raphael. Those applied being
Philosophy, Justice and Poetry. All have been contextualized for this narrative. The same applies to the
destroyed statue of Hermes which is an element of the ceiling painting ‘Triumph of Religion’{1582—1585} by
Tommaso Laureti referenced from the ‘Hall of Constantin’ (part of the Raphael Rooms ) to signify the evolution
of theological and philosophical understanding and perspectives.
In the distance is the ruined Colosseum symbolising the past place of human arrogance and total disregard for
the value of life, human and animal. within that place there was a duality of cosmic relevance to the notion of
‘The Fall’ in regard to the temptations that the Christ incarnate was tested and rejected were enacted by the
                              society of the time.

In parallel and also coexistent were the lives that claimed their alignment to the early Christian faith who died
                              for upholding their faith.
