‘The Divine within the Heart of Matter.’
Castel Gandolfo -Alter Realism
The composition integrates one of the vistas from the Upper Terrace at Castel Gandolfo
Gardens and the depiction of the cosmic order.
The narrative alludes to the philosophical and theological notion that behind the perceived
world and universe is the Divine order and intelligence of the Divine Absolute.
The scene has been adapted by replacing the statue of a horseman with two figures, male and
female thereby presenting a contemporary symbol of humanity.
