‘The Incarnation of a Soul’ - Alter Realism

The composition explores the incarnation of a human soul ; a monad aspect of the Divine Consciousness
through the soul.
The sphere of light that is handed down by an angel is the Divine consciousness that contains the potential
destiny of that life.
The child to-be is formed by elemental matter as depicted by an overlay of cosmic colouring.
The women within the sphere of light represent timeless probabilities and actualities over time. They also
represent universal motherhood. Therefore, the child could have been born in the past or the future.
The sense of the soul descending to the spiritual material plane is suggested by G. Mono’s 1932 Helical
Ramp as viewed from top level.
Angels created on the helical staircase are used to convey the angelic guidance of the soul.
The background represents the undisclosed cosmic energy of the Divine Absolute.
