Downstream from Stratford and Evesham, the River Avon me-
           anders its way past Pershore to join the River Severn at the
           abbey  town  of  Tewkesbury.  This  classical  English  landscape
           echoes the intimacy of settlement and nature. It evokes the verse
           from William Blake: “In England’s Green and Pleasant Land.”
