summer. We kept a space to use as a walk-in storage room, which we use for off-season clothing,

holiday decorations and more. There’s plenty of space to add a 3rd full bathroom.

Master Suite: In 2012 we created the master bedroom and bathroom, inspired by a stay at the

W Hotel in Barcelona. No one actually uses two sinks, so we opted for a large single sink set in an

island in the room. On the other side of the sink is a wonderful dressing area which really optimizes

the space. The non-porous, porcelain tile was imported from Italy and covers both the floor and the

shower. The walk-in rain shower is a dream! Ceiling fans in both the bedroom and bathroom make

the spaces very comfortable. Crown molding in each room finishes the spaces beautifully.

2nd Floor Secondary Bedrooms: In 2020 we had both ceilings replaced, removing all the old

insulation and plaster to re-insulate, sheetrock and finish off with crown molding.

2nd Floor Bathroom: In 2021, the blue bathtub wastewater and toilet pipes were replaced to ensure

              no leaks and fully up-to-date.

Kitchen: In 2021, a full kitchen remodel was completed, including restoration of the original 1926

Douglas Fir floor to its original glory and sand-blasting the cast iron heater, then powder-coating to

match the stainless steel appliances. New solid wood cabinetry that all ‘close soft’, granite counters,

artisan oversized subway tiles, a 6-burner professional Viking range and exhaust fan. The laundry

room entrance was updated with 2-panel, solid wood French doors (no-glass).

Dining Room: As done in the upstairs bedrooms, the plaster ceiling was removed, new sheetrock

and crown molding were installed along with a new farmhouse modern chandelier.

             Q: Why are you moving?

A: Our needs have changed since we bought 80 Henderson Road in 2001. We will soon be

‘empty nesters’ and no longer need a lot of house and yard space. Henderson Road has
