TOP TEN THINGS WE’LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT 208 NORTH CEDAR ROAD
1. Lower Greenfield Hill and our beloved cul de sac neighborhood. We are perfectly
situated in the Town. Five minutes to all the amenities of downtown Fairfield
or a five-minute walk to the Lower Greenfield Hill markets if you are looking to
stretch your legs (and avoid the bustle of Route 1). Our cul de sac neighborhood
is also a treasured rarity in Fairfield. You are only driving down our road if you live
there allowing our children to freely (and safely) play wherever their hearts and
imagination desired!
2. We will miss our neighbors deeply! North Cedar Road is not a transitional
neighborhood. Family’s move here and stay. From our annual Summer block
party’s to countless ghosts and goblins at Halloween. A friendly wave and smile
whenever you pass someone. True, your home is where your heart is but, you
cannot replace truly wonderful, compassionate, and caring neighbors.
3. The yard, the yard, the yard! Our beautiful sweeping front lawn with its lush green
landscape in the Spring and Summer to it’s beautiful sprinkling of orange, red,
and brown leaves when the air starts to turn cool and crisp. Making piles of leaves
for our children to jump in and then forging tunnels in the snow when the seasons
change! The back yard is certainly not to be outdone by the front! Its long flat
landscape always ready for a soccer match or football game whenever the whistle
blows. Once the match has ended, relaxing on the expansive patio in the privacy
and tranquility of nature. Hearing the birds chirping, squirrels scampering about,
and a small family of deer slowing moving through the far landscape. Raising their
eyes to meet ours just before they continue to move on.
4. We will miss entertaining in this beautiful home. From either front entrance you
are swept into the large and open living areas. A kitchen that begs you to pull up a
chair for a casual chat with a neighbor and a dining room that has set the scene for
countless festive gatherings (that only our bathroom scale would frown upon the
following day).
