WHY ARE YOU MOVING?
I am downsizing. My daughter is off to college next year and I simply do
not need this much space. It is bittersweet as I have loved living here. I
am excited for the next chapter, but will miss living in this amazing house
in such a great location!

CAN YOU PLEASE DESCRIBE THE BUILDING PROCESS?

My in-laws live behind 50 1/2 Roton and we approached the owner about
purchasing the land from her. We felt it was such a special lot and we were
very excited to build our dream home there. We were very involved in the
process and acted as our own general contractors. We worked alongside
Ricky Kraeger. our builder. We enjoyed the process and feel like we created
an amazing end product! We hope others see the beauty in what we built!

WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT LIVING HERE?

The walk-ability to everything. Rowayton is such a special town with
so much to offer. Being able to walk to all it's amenities was such a
privilege: beach, parks, train, school and the community center! We
enjoyed the many community events planned by the town. I feel lucky
to be part of such a tight knit community!

WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THE LOT AND THE GROUNDS?
The fact that the property was set back so nicely from the road was super
appealing to us... we wanted privacy, but loved the fact that we were still
so close to town. With 3/4 of an acre, we had plenty of room to build what
we envisioned with lots of surrounding property to create a great backyard
and patio, as well as the circular driveway.
