TOP 12 THINGS
WE WILL MISS
About life at 120 Parkwood Road
1. We love to sit around the fire next to the kitchen, cooking and hanging out together as a family. During
the winter we have fires every night and it's one of our favorite things.
2. We love our spa pool in the winter. The best thing is when it snows and we go out in the spa at 104 degree
temperature while it snows on us. It's magical. Having a glass of wine in the spa while it snows is
absolutely amazing.
3. We love to go walking in Southport. Every Saturday we walk through town and through GFA and the
Audubon. It's our special time to disconnect from technology and connect as a family.
4. The outdoor fire pit has been an incredible spot for all of us to connect at the end of the day and take a dip
in the pool before dinner.
5. Thanksgiving and Christmas have been amazing at our home and what we'll miss the most. We have
loved doing the Turkey Trot many times and celebrating Thanksgiving as a family. Christmas is our
favorite holiday. We have always put our tree up in the front window and we put a ton of lights in our front
yard to celebrate Christmas.
6. Every year for Easter we'd do an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. It's one of our favorite traditions and so
much fun as the kids have gotten older.
7. We love our dogs more than anything! Every day we take walks around the pond with them and they are
SO excited every single time!
The shed in the backyard. My dad and I built that together a number of years ago. It's a very special

memory for me.
9. The floors in the kitchen and master are made from a beautiful oak that fell during Hurricane Sandy. I
milled the tree myself in the yard and spent a year turning the raw oak lumber into flooring. It was a labor
of love but something I'm so glad we did.
10. Halloween - Our daughter, Haley, loves Halloween! Every year we decorate the front of the house for
Halloween, making it more elaborate every year. But what we really look forward to is all the kids that
come through our neighborhood.
Back yard - taking down the trampoline recently reminded me of how much the kids loved playing on it.
11. So, so many hours of fun. Our kids played cornhole, table tennis, wiffle ball and so many other games. It
was an absolutely wonderful place to raise kids!
12. Basketball - we put in a permanent basketball hoop many years ago. It was so much fun for us a family.
Either playing 1:1 or 2:2 or doing dunk contests, it was such a blast.
