About life at 25 Lakeside Drive
1. The Property! There's nothing quite like waking up every morning to the stunning view of the lake and
our peaceful backyard. The sound of the creek gently flowing by is the perfect soundtrack for quiet
moments, whether you’re reading a book or just taking in the beauty around you. Some of our fondest
memories are of watching our children—along with their friends—kayaking, fishing, and joyfully jumping
off the dock into the cool, refreshing water. We've even created our own little paradise with a walking
bridge over the creek, leading to their “secret island”—a place where laughter and adventure are endless.
The lawn transforms into a lush green space by May, where the kids spent hours playing everything from
soccer to baseball. The walk-out playroom made it feel like the backyard was an extension of the house—so
much fun and so much life right outside the door. And for those special gatherings, the backyard is the
perfect backdrop. From large parties with a bounce house and a giant outdoor movie screen to intimate
gatherings by the water, every moment spent here feels magical. And then there’s the quiet, where birds
like the beautiful blue heron come to visit, and you can lay in the hammock, letting the breeze from the
lake carry your worries away. The beauty of nature changes with every season, and even after 25 years it is
breathtaking.
2. Lakeside Drive is the Best Street in Weston. In a town full of winding, hilly roads, Lakeside Drive feels
like a hidden gem. The flat road ends in a quiet cul-de-sac where #25 is nestled. The warmth of the
neighborhood is one of a kind—everyone knows each other and looks out for one another. The sense of
community is real, from our lively Book Club,"Lakeside Ladies Literary League" where the moms take
turns hosting every couple of months, and have a great time drinking wine, talking about neighborhood
happenings and occasionally discussing the book, to annual block parties, Earth Day cleanups, and even
ice skating on the lake with a bonfire. The street is full of life, with kids running, riding bikes, and walking
dogs. It’s a place that feels like home, where everyone is family.
3. The Kitchen: Where Memories Are Made. Our oversized kitchen is the heart of the home, and it's where
countless memories were created over shared meals and conversations. It’s a space that not only functions
beautifully but feels like a cozy gathering spot for the whole family. Whether it's breakfast around the table
with the kids or entertaining friends, the kitchen always has a way of bringing people together. We’ve
loved the warmth of the heated floors in the winter, the practical bar area, and even the convenience of two
dishwashers (which we will miss dearly!). I designed the kitchen with a ton of storage and thoughtful
design in every corner, from the storage solutions to the space where we keep our computers and papers
out of the way of all the cooking and fun.
4. We’re so close to Town Center (and the Schools). Being just minutes from Weston’s Town Center and
the schools has been a huge blessing. For parents, this convenience can’t be overstated. We’re only two
minutes from the middle school entrance—no more long drives to get the kids to school! Whether it's
picking up groceries from Lily’s or grabbing a quick bite at the Lunch Box, everything you need is right
around the corner. And when the Fourth of July comes around, we get front-row seats to the fireworks
show from our dock—talk about the perfect spot for making memories!
