INTERVIEW WITH
THE OWNER/BUILDER
We thought of everything—
because we lived every inch of it.
When we built this home, my husband and I spent countless hours thinking
through every detail—not just for today, but for the kind of life a family would live
here tomorrow.
We added a walk-up attic. You might not think you need it now, but trust us—you
will. Whether it’s kids’ toys, out-of-season clothes, or just space to spread out, extra
storage is always a gift.
We finished the basement with the grown-ups in mind. A place to escape with a
book, host friends for a game night, or create a home gym—whatever kind of “me
time” you need, it’s here.
Upstairs, we imagined mornings in the primary bedroom, waking to the soft light
pouring through the front windows. We designed a feature wall behind the bed to
make the space feel warm and elevated. In the bathroom, we chose serene glass
tile for the shower floor and placed the tub under a window that looks out to a lush
Green Giant for perfect privacy.
The secondary bedrooms got just as much love—walk-in closets where possible,
and practical hallway closets for linens, toiletries, or last-minute snow gear.
And yes, we even made the laundry room cheerful. The patterned floor tile, white
appliances, and ability to close the door and fold in peace make the chore feel…
well, less like a chore.
