We will miss about 8 Mary Jane Lane

1. The location! A quiet cul-de-sac is ideal... and we are so close to both downtown Westport and
Fairfield where we love to go to dinner, or see live music as well as plenty of choices with local
beaches. As members of The Fairfield County Hunt Club, we love being so close to be able to enjoy
the club’s amenities, including year round horseback riding, the pool and tennis in the summer and
paddle in the winter. We use the club so much more than we would if we were farther away!
2. Entertaining! So many spaces! The kids would hang with their friends downstairs, play games,

shoot pool, ping pong or watch movies while the grown ups chatted in the Sunroom or by the fire
in the Living Room and Dining Room.
3. The schools... they are award winning and one of the reasons we moved to Westport! The Y‘s

Summer Camp Mahackeno was also a great hit with our kids for many years. Commuting to New
York City for work when needed or for pleasure has also been a breeze when needed – Greens
Farms station is just 7 minutes away.
4. The 2-room apartment separated from the main living area. This was perfect as we used it many

ways. The small room was used as an O˜ce with Bedroom/Living Studio Suite in the larger room
Bedroom with the larger room living space – ideal for older kids or as a guest suite for visiting in
laws! Early on we also used the larger space as a play room for the kids, with a perfect Au-Pair
Bedroom right nearby. It o­ered us so many options!

5. Watching the snow fall while sitting by the fire in our warm and cozy Sunroom. We love this
room all seasons... enjoying the beautiful birds in the spring, seeing the foliage change in autumn,
opening up the doors to covered deck and entertaining all summer. Four seasons of beauty!
6. Celebrating Thanksgiving and having tag football games with friends and family on our "sports-

field" in the front yard. Made for a perfect day of laughter and bonding for kids and grownups alike.
It was also great space for the kids to practice sports all year!
7. Movie night or a great game on the big screen TV in the spacious Family Room. Plenty of space for
everyone to hang out together as a family!

8. The neighbors! Everyone enjoys their privacy but watches out for each other too! It is a close-knit
neighborhood with lovely families who really care about each other! The thoughtful neighbors next
door rarely ever use their tennis court...I think we used it more than they did! A mixed group of age
groups which makes it even more perfect.

9. The outdoor living space. Whether enjoying the covered deck, al-fresco dining, long chats and
roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, catching fireflies in the backyard, snowmen in the front yard,
gardening, riding bikes or playing basketball in the driveway, it really has been a fulfilling place
to live!
10. Westport! We're moving out of town and not far but Westport and the community have been great

to our family. We love the beaches, golf and great amenities as well as the public school system
that has helped set-up our kids for great success in life.
