TOP 10 THINGS WE’LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT
2575 NORTH STREET
1. Feeling like we live in a private, country retreat while being
only four minutes from the Merritt Parkway and seven
minutes from Trader Joe's and our favorite fish market.
2. Going about our days beneath soaring ceilings & wide
hallways that allow us all to flow freely, while finding the
rooms perfectly proportioned for intimate gatherings,
reading, entertainment, & conversation. The 3 stairwells
allow easy & quick access to any bedroom, when needed.
3. Enjoying goodnight stories or games with the kids in the
"reading room" with the French doors open while we listen to
the crickets and bullfrogs sing.
4. Feeling happy to start the day in the bright sun-filled spaces
of the kitchen & family room that always frame a new view
of nature (we have seen fox, beaver, wild turkey, and all
sorts of birds,) no matter the month.
5. Playing outdoors with the kids on the long driveway (perfect
for every type of rolling activity) on the basketball court, in
the gardens, on the fields or exploring the wetlands for
toads, newts and ideal fort-building opportunities!
6. Walking down the street to the gorgeous trails at Brett
Woods to a scenic pond where my children love to explore.
7. Jogging to Audubon Society on Burr Street for a beautiful
run on their extensive, marked trails or for an educational
program or camp session.
8. Warming our toes during the colder months in the hot tub,
by the numerous stone fireplaces, in the steam shower, or on
the heated tiles in our many bathrooms.
9. Getting to my children's spacious rooms with ease during the
night, when needed, because of the convenient proximity
of their spaces to ours.
10. Sharing this beautiful treasure of a home with friends &
family— the guest suite, the large open front foyer, the
comfortably shaped dining area, and some of the intimate
spaces in the home have provided lovely entertaining
opportunities.
