Top 10 Thingswe will miss about 145 Old Stonewall Road
1. It has been a joy to live in this quiet setting a on lovely cul-de-sac. We have appreciated the daily
peace of mind that comes with living in this well-cared-for, safe, and friendly neighborhood.
2. The Connecticut landscape is so distinctive and special. We love the classic elements of our
grounds, with its woods, beautiful grove of tall trees on the front lawn, and original stone wall
along the full length of the property.
3. The private walking trail in our woods has been a priceless enhancement. We feel so fortunate to
be able to step out the door and take a quick refreshing walk or a leisurely stroll with our dog in a
beautiful private setting.
4. Our new fencing has been such a wonderful space for our dog to play safely, and we love the
decorative gating that makes an attractive frame for the lawn, with potential to work with a range
of landscaping options.
5. We will miss the luxurious space of our beautiful, quiet master suite. We especially love the pretty
ante-chamber entrance to the suite, which creates an added sense of privacy.
6. We will miss working from our beautiful home office. We love seeing birds picking berries from
the holly bushes outside our window, and we love ending the work day by looking out at the
colors of the evening sky beyond a grove of tall trees.
7. The sunroom has been a great, versatile workspace, with perfect natural light, always comfort-
able, and featuring lovely views of the grounds from every window. The separate entrance from
the deck to the sunroom is a nice and practical feature.
8. We will miss summer evenings sitting on our patio, enjoying the pergola and looking at the stars.
We love the privacy of our patio and convenient access via a separate basement entrance. We
have been very happy with the way the new pergola, doors and windows, and patio add dimen-
sion and beauty to the side of the house facing the trail.
9. The flow of the floor plan is so comfortable and spacious, while allowing each room its own
distinctive feeling. The fabulous natural light we enjoy all day throughout the house has inspired
our color and design enhancements.
10. We will miss all the four-seasons fun in Easton — buying fresh produce and picking apples at the
local farms, hiking at Paine Open Space just a mile away, and selecting the perfect Christmas tree
in the Christmas Tree Capital of Connecticut! And, of course, we will miss the Easton Fireman’s
Carnival on the Fireman’s Green, a super-fun annual event that we look forward to each year.
