Q: WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS HOME:

A: We moved here from Toronto to embark on our second time living in Fairfield. As we were driving from Canada,

this home literally came on the market while checking the internet on the way down. We loved the convenient
walk- to -everything location...literally a 3 minute walk to the train! We have loved being able to stroll into town for

dinner, shopping and visits to the library. The house had the charm of the 1930’s we have always adored, coupled
with all the updated amenities for today's lifestyle. The cul de sac neighborhood was an added bonus we quickly came
to appreciate as our growing children started riding bikes and running to and from their neighborhood friend’s homes.

Q: PLEASE DESCRIBE THE RENOVATION PROCESS:

A: We knew our children would enjoy the lower level better if it were renovated to create a more child friendly atmosphere.

Our goal was to create a comfortable space for them to enjoy movie nights or slumber parties. We even utilized the

nooks and crannies you find in a lower level to carve out cozy reading spots as well as storage space. The oversized
backyard was definitely a bonus but it was a blank slate awaiting our touch. After extensive landscaping the yard
truly came alive! We added terraced garden beds with hydrangeas, hostas and other perennials. Planting 35 giant
arborvitae trees along one side of the yard provided lush privacy. Lastly, we renovated the garage, adding a new garage
door, storage, a fresh coat of paint, and heating. With four growing children we needed plenty of parking space for

their bicycles, scooters and wagons!

Q: WHY ARE YOU MOVING?

A: We are a family of six in a four bedroom house. Although we are reluctant to move from this amazing home, we are

ready to embrace the opportunity to expand.

Q: WILL YOU MISS THE NEIGHBOR/NEIGHBORS?

A: Absolutely! No questions asked! The Hillcrest neighbors are the best, they are our extended family. We will cherish

our Hillcrest memories for a lifetime.

Q: TELL ME ABOUT THE GROUNDS & WHAT MAKES YOUR PROPERTY SO SPECIAL.

A: Our unique lot has the combination of multiple realms of play, convenience of nature’s charm backing up to a

wooded area and steps away from history. We love the enchanting rock garden, along with seasonal blooms, and

the combination of many gorgeous trees, including an oversized birch tree, gorgeous red maple, and a meaningful
dogwood. It is amazing to watch the kids play ball, while seeing a hawk fly and then wanting to take a nature walk
in our own backyard. Our property is so unique. It is embraced by nature and charm, but then again it is an in- town

property that it just steps away from the amazing downtown Fairfield, train station, and beach!
