THINGS YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT LIVING IN THE
HISTORIC FAIRFIELD BEACH AREA
§ The ability to walk to everything – the beach, the YMCA, the train, the
Town Green and offices, the university, the Historical Society, the library, the
doctors' offices, and all the restaurants and shops of the town center
§ Being surrounded by open public land, where development is not a concern
§ Being just out of earshot of I-95, but only a par 5 from the on-off ramps
§ The celebrations on the Green, especially the Memorial Day parade, the
revolutionary war reenactments, and the occasional craft fairs
§ Walking 300 yards to vote at Sherman Elementary School and picking up the best
baked goods and a story or two at the PTA benefit tables
§ The wonderful family neighborhood, and the great friendly attitude of the
residents.
§ Walking through the cemetery reading the names and epitaphs and feeling the
connection to the American history you learned in grade school
§ Taking long walks on the beach in the off-season, and meeting lots of great
friends and neighbors along the way
§ Fishing off the pier, walking to movie night, going for an early morning run on the
beach, the sunrise, the majesty of the marina, kayaking in the sound, walking to the
Memorial Day parade, the 4th of July fireworks ...
