THINGS WE'LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT 5 SASQUA POND ROAD
1. The open floor plan of this house has such a welcoming feel and is
perfect for entertaining. The kitchen has top of the line granite and features
and makes cooking a joy. There is more than enough counter space and can
accommodate a large table. We have always been the place to go for relatives as
there is more than enough room.
2. The pool/jacuzzi and large backyard have been wonderful to enjoy with friends and
family. As the backyard is completely enclosed it’s a perfectly safe place for our two
large dogs to run and play. At night with the pool lights on and the night sounds it's
a wonderful refuge to relax with a glass of wine. The large built in barbecue has been
enjoyed by all the men in the house as they show off their talents. My husband built me a
12x12 vegetable patch which produces a ton of fresh veggies. It’s fun for everyone to cook
farm to table!
3. The Familyroom has my heart. The large stone fireplace is absolutely majestic and
warms the whole room. We always celebrated the Holidays there and the memories are
beautiful. The glass paneled doors that border the fireplace and lead out to the patio
bring in all the afternoon light so it’s a perfect location for plants.
4. The finished basement has been a perfect place for my kids to entertain their
friends. We have a pool table room and a poker room that have heard their share of
laughter.
5. Sasqua Pond Road is a cul de sac, quiet and very safe. My boys would often sled
down the driveway into the street and I knew no harm would come to them. The
neighbors are friendly and maintain their homes and gardens well. They are of
mixed ages and all very relaxed and welcoming.
6. Either way out of Sasqua Pond Road there is a Metro North Station within 3
minutes. My husband had to commute to Manhattan daily and loved the accessibility.
There is always ample parking at the Westport Station that costs $5.00 a day. The family
would often use the metro to go into Manhattan to see the Christmas lights and other
events and it is only an hour away. It is a very easy way to commute and not pay the hefty
parking fees and confusion in NYC.
