5 SASQUA POND ROAD
Q: WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS HOME?
A: I fell in love with this house from first sight. The stone work on the house adds
so much stately character. When I opened the front door I immediately fell in love
with the open flow between the rooms as well as the actual size of each room. The
kitchen, pool patio and family room make it ideal to entertain either large or small
groups. The kids rooms, utility room and office on the same floor come in extremely
handy. The fantastic basement is perfect to study, watch tv or play games and is really
useful in the winter. The full bathroom in the basement is perfect for showering after
the pool as well as showering the dogs!
Q: WHY ARE YOU MOVING?
A: My husband and I were never planning to leave this house. We knew it would become
emptier as the kids got jobs in other states, but with the space it offers, we were
looking forward to grandchildren one day. We couldn’t wait to teach them how to
swim, plant in the garden and take walks around the neighborhood. However, as life
happens we decided to move on. I hope the future family loves everything this house
has to offer. From the solid foundation, to the garden/pool, large rooms and easy
commute to the train, we have never been happier.
Q: WILL YOU MISS THE NEIGHBOR/NEIGHBORS?
A: One thing I will miss is the friendships I have made with the neighbors. The
neighborhood doesn’t just consist of Sasqua Pond Road, but wraps around with
Pequot Road. There have been many social events such as pot lucks, tag sales and
shared bottles of wine. There is a neighborhood watch for strange cars, people etc
which gives me a sense of community and safety.
Q: TELL ME ABOUT THE GROUNDS...
A: The grounds of this house are spectacular in every season. The sun shines on both
sides of the house so all the plants do extremely well. The peacefulness of the birds,
the swaying of the tall trees and the fireflies in the evening all create a small piece of
heaven. The weekends spent on the patio barbecuing and swimming in the pool with
friends and family have left beautiful memories for all who have attended. If the next
owners are either a retired family or one with young kids, this house has everything and
more to make their lives enjoyable.
