Q: WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR HOUSE?

A: Relocating to Fairfield from NYC, we were looking for a spacious home in a neighborhood that had
somewhat of a country feel with privacy, a large yard and a pool. We also wanted a location that
was convenient for our commutes to the city for work. We absolutely were looking for excellent
schools for our son, We looked at several homes in Fairfield but only found one that checked every
box and more...1881 Burr. The stone walls surrounding the property clinched the deal for us...we
knew this was the one.

Q: DID YOU DO ANY RENOVATIONS AFTER MOVING IN?

A: Lots of renovations...replaced the siding with clapboard, added a 2nd Primary suite, expanded
the family room, added the deck, switched from oil to natural gas heat...and so on. We have even
added cedar closets in the attic. Many renovations over the years, but the most meaningful for us
was adding the tennis court for our son to develop his skills. It was amazing to watch him learn
and grow, and use his talent as an adult to teach others with the same passion he called upon as a
youth.

Q: WHY ARE YOU MOVING?

A: While we are still working in our respective creative professions and continue to enjoy the various
unique aspects of our property, it is clear that we are not in need of all the space here with our son
grown and on his own in another town.
We are "rightsizing" to a home with a smaller floorplan and a bit less land so we may spend more
time on other adventures.

Q: WILL YOU MISS YOUR NEIGHBORS?

A: Absolutely, the neighbors are the best. The Garden Club of Greenfield Hill meets next door every
month and everyone around us is very friendly while maintaining privacy.

Q: TELL US ABOUT THE GROUNDS...

A: The grounds on this property are amazing in so many ways. The level lot allows us to have a pool,
gardens, extra parking, large lawns, and a tennis court...and additional space to just enjoy the
views. The plantings are absolutely gorgeous in spring and summer...the wisteria is our favorite
and the cherry tree off the deck has beautiful spring blooms. The stone wall surrounding our lot
adds tremendous character..from any angle. This yard was a gathering spot for the neighborhood
kids...everyone enjoyed the pool...and we were thrilled to see our son and his friends enjoy the
surroundings we were so fond of also.

Q: WHAT MAKES THE PROPERTY SO SPECIAL?

A: There are so many special things about this home...but it all circles back the perfect floorplan

that allows us to have tons of useful space and flexibility. We also have entrances at convenient
locations (like the Mudroom door and the Sunroom door) that add to the ease of living here,
bringing the outside in. It is the perfect home for really any activity, for working from home..or
to just relax...and definitely to entertain. The location is also ideal within Fairfield and the close
proximity to NYC..
