What made you fall in love with this home?

We fell in love with this home for so many reasons. The abundant natural light, the
stunning views from every window, and the peaceful screened-in porch immediately
made it feel like home. We cherish the cozy den and the two fireplaces, which are

perfect for winter evenings. The spacious dining room easily accommodates our large
family during holidays, and we couldn't be happier with our "dream" kitchen, featuring
a huge fridge and freezer and great flow for entertaining. One feature that has been

especially important to us is the legal au-pair suite (a legal studio apartment), which
housed our nannies for years and now serves as our office.

Please describe the renovation process:

We undertook a full renovation, updating the house from top to bottom, and added a
large addition in 2011-2012. Every bathroom was updated with modern glass showers,
and the living room and primary bedroom received custom-built cabinetry. We also

created a beautiful stone patio with a sitting wall in the private backyard. A spacious
laundry room, perfect for folding and hanging clothes, was another important addition.
The expansion included two bedrooms and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom upstairs, along
with an office; downstairs, we added a powder room, mudroom, and a large family
room that opens to the kitchen. Additionally, we built a two-car garage to complete the

home.

Will you miss the neighbors/neighborhood?

Absolutely. We’ve made so many wonderful memories with our neighbors, and the
sense of community here is something we’ll always treasure. We’re not planning to
move far, as we’ve formed lasting friendships with many people on our street and
nearby. Though we all have busy lives, we make a point to gather for birthdays and

holidays. Our neighbors are always there to help with things like picking up mail or
packages when we’re away, and it’s comforting to know we can count on each other. We
also enjoy long walks together in the neighborhood.
