Why are you moving?

After 26 wonderful years in this home, during which we raised our children from the ages
of 5, 3, and a newborn, it’s time for a change. Now that our kids are grown, we’re seeking

a new home for the “next 26 years”—one with more ground-floor living space and fewer
stairs, allowing us to comfortably age in place.

Tell me about the grounds...

The grounds are absolutely magical. The house sits in a storybook location, surrounded
by mature trees and flowering bushes, with a view of a branch of the Saugatuck River.
Our yard has hosted countless epic whiffle ball games with our kids and their cousins,

and we’ve spent many memorable evenings around the fire pit on the back patio, or
relaxing and entertaining in the screened-in porch.

What makes your property so special?

Our home is beautifully positioned in the center of the 1-acre property, offering a perfect
balance of sunny, open space and a canopy of mature trees that provide a sense of
tranquility. The circular driveway makes coming and going effortless, and the privacy

here is a rare find—allowing you to live comfortably without the need for window
coverings. Yet, it’s an active and friendly neighborhood, so you never feel isolated—just at
peace.

Did you ever consider putting in a pool?

No, we didn’t consider adding a pool. We had one at our previous home, and while it was
enjoyable, it required a lot of work and maintenance. We’re more of a sailing family, so

we spend a lot of time at Compo Beach, utilizing its boat ramps and enjoying the many
amenities at Longshore. When our kids were younger, we frequently visited the
Longshore pool. Plus, we’re very close to the YMCA, which is just 1.6 miles away.
