What made you fall in love with 604 Mine Hill Road?

We knew as soon as we saw the home that it was the one we wanted! Having an open floor plan was one
of our top priorities. The street, Mine Hill Road is one of the most beautiful and scenic roads in Green-
field Hill-or really all of Fairfield. The close proximity to everything Fairfield offers was important to us
as well. To be able to live in a country-like setting yet minutes away from downtown Fairfield offers the
best of both worlds!

Please describe the renovation process.

While the home offered us the open floor plan we wanted to give the home a fresh, modern feel so we
brought in a professional interior designer to reset the home to meet our needs. This included new
paint, (interior and exterior), renovating the office, adding new woodwork, shelving, renovating the first
floor bathroom and kitchen finishes (eg: Marble backsplash behind the cooktop, and paint). We hired a
landscape architect to design a new low maintenance front and back yard.

Why are you moving?

Our children have moved on to college and careers and we are moving back to our
families in the Midwest.

YES! The neighbors are just wonderful and it has been a true pleasure living here.

Tell me about the grounds.

The grounds are set up for minimal maintenance and year round color and impact. We’ve worked hard
to maintain the New England flavor by keeping the stone walls, adding native perennials for color and
minimal maintenance. We will miss the beautiful backdrop for
entertaining and family photos!

We did consider putting in a pool but since we spent our summers at our Midwest Summer home it just
didn’t make sense for us.
