CONVERSATIONS MEET THE BREEDER
    4) What’s your goal with your breeding operation?
Our end goal is to produce high quality modern foundation Appaloosas that are ApHC FPD Eligible. Horses that have great trainable minds, the heart of the appaloosa. Conformation always comes first as we strive to produce long lasting riding partners that will succeed in many different disciplines as an all around horse. Color is important too but even our solid babies are built right.
5) What do you look for in a broodmare?
We have gotten pretty picky with our mares. They
have to have amazing people oriented minds and conformations that compliment our Stallions and vice versa. They also have to carry specific bloodlines that we have honed in on. We also require 5 panel NN.
6) What are your favorite bloodlines?
We love Bright Eyes Brother bloodlines and have really concentrated on it. We have found they cross really well on Pratt, Patchy, Dreamfinder, Joker B and Shavano. With a very small amount of some of the Quarter Horse bloodlines.
7) Any bloodlines you would like to

As we have ventured more into the ApHC shows I believe everyone is doing a wonderful job producing great appaloosas. There are straight foundation breeders with great promotion of the breed. There are also modern breeders who are also doing a fantastic job in producing racers, halter horses ect... As a smaller breed registery I think it is great to see all the breeders being successful and showing together!
see promoted more?
