“Gemi Sellang” is a joint project organized by all
the Rotaract Clubs in Zone 2 of Rotaract District
3220 along with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year
with the aim of giving the youth a chance to
celebrate the New Year in a unique way.
This event gave the opportunity for everybody
to get together and enjoy some action while
strictly following all the health guidelines.
As the new year season is a time where people
use to renew and tighten their bonds with their
loved ones this project also targeted on
strengthening the inter personal and intra
personal relationships between Rotaractors in
the zone as well as beyond.
‘Gami Sellang’ gave the opportunity to have some outdoor time with fellow rotaractors and friends
which COVID-19 pandemic had taken from us. All the fun awurudu sports and other traditional
activities were conducted.
