NOSTALGIA GOOD OLD DAYS
After all this time,
I remember the moments in our parent’s shade,
I am wondering how it used to be
An endearing time, imprinted in my brain
Back in the day
Gathering of all homefolks,
When my heart beamed that way,
All of them had their own talks,
I shut my eyes,
Playing hide and seek, and hopscotch
The wild fireflies
Danced in their own light,
Yes, I remember the sloppy and fresh grass,
These memories brought me back to when
Playing every sport in our nearest ground,
I was a child
And yes, the naive birthday parties by which we were spellbound
Reaching out with clumsy fingers,
Yes, I remember when we wanted to be the eldest,
To try and touch and hold it in my hands.
But never knew how to handle the imminent tempest.
Now, I spell my name in broken letters,
As I walk away from what’s left behind,
I think I have found that nostalgic time,
This can only happen in our vacations sublime,
Slipping a thousand times
And definitely, preserving them is another prime.
Now, I often walk towards a building that
I hear people call NOSTALGIA.
